Fifth Grade

My name is Wanda V. Jones. I am a fifth grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher.

I have been an educator for 28 years. I am also an

Advisor for The National Junior Beta Club for 25 years. I am presently serving on our school’s Leadership Team (TLT) as a mentor teacher.

I am the proud parent of one daughter Jada Alexandria Jones.

Welcome to Fifth Grade! My name is Frances Clayton. I teach Math and Social Studies at St. James-Gaillard Elementary. This will be my 10th year teaching fifth grade at St. James-Gaillard. I have a total of 17 years teaching experience.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The College of Charleston, a Post Baccalaureate Certification in Elementary Education from Charleston Southern University, and Masters in Education of Teaching Math and Science from the College of Charleston.

I believe that all children can learn just at different paces. I feel that as a teacher it is my job to teach each student at his or her own pace.

Hello, my name is Jordan Dasher. Prior to earning my education degree I served in the United States Army, and am thankful my service has given me the opportunity to further my education. I’m happily married to my wife Stephanie and have three children; Isabell, Aiden, and Caius. They are 6, 4, and 1 years old respectively. It was the desire for my children to obtain an excellent education that became the driving force behind my decision to become an educator. I look forward to sharing my passion for teaching with each student I encounter. I believe in a balanced approach to teaching that builds a strong foundation of community, respect, and integrity. It is my hope that every child that enters my classroom will leave with a passion and desire to learn.
